A PAINTING
MINERAL
Minerality and mineral essence drive the creative action of Sérgio Marzano. The artist traverses the Iron Quadrangle, exploring the rough and coarse surface of the mineral field, surveying the vast scene where the spectacle of color expands. The materials he collects become sensual matter for the creation of poetic spaces. The pigments carry a dramatic weight that establishes itself in the artist's territory and stimulates the painting. Color incorporates tensions. Reliefs ignite a play between opacity and transparency. The memory of the earth traverses ancestral layers that extend over the mystery of life and art. The man-dust transforms the earth's dust into a sign of light. The painter Sérgio Marzano fulfills the aspiration of the poet Murilo Mendes, who wrote: "One day I will return to salute the mineral kingdom, where disorder is minimal."

SER
SERRA
invites the visitor to immerse themselves in a deep dialogue with the Serra do Curral, an imposing and silent symbol that watches over Belo Horizonte. Through the eyes and hands of Sérgio Marzano, the mountain ceases to be just a distant landscape and transforms into an intimate and tangible presence.
The exhibited works transcend mere representation; they are living fragments that carry the mineral memories of an ancient and continuous time, creating a bridge between geological past and human present.
This is an invitation to become mountain, to feel part of this ongoing cycle of creation and transformation, where each work is a testament to the intimate relationship between being and the mountain, between the artist and nature, between the present and eternity.
